Behind the Scenes
Cullman Theatre offers classes and opportunites to be a part of the art of theatre behind the scenes. Our technical theatre classes offer students a chance to learn sound, lighting, stage management, set design, costume design and makeup design. Students learn about the business side of theatre. Students can learn about marketing and producing a show.
There are leadership roles that are filled entirely with students. Students can get involved in the following crews and eventually move up to a leadership role of that crew.

Students can experience and learn real world skills through having to work with a team, having deadlines, solving problems and thinking outside the box. Contact Mr. Cook to find out more about these opportunities and the classes student should take.
Students may also participate in Theatre Productions through other departments in the Fine Arts Program. Students may take choir and find that being in the choir is often a role students play in theatrical productions. Mrs. Skinner can give more information on how to be involved in this way. Art classes, provided at CHS, participate in scene painting and sometimes prop design. Mrs. Miller can provide more information on how to be involved in this program. Dancers are often used from our Dance department. Mrs. Naehu provide additional information regarding how to participate through this program.
